This is the third year in which we hold, as part of Kelim festival, a national Hip hop event which includes all styles competition, breaking competition, a residence for hip hop artists and performances. We will start the event with a show of the project “untamed” with a special cast and solo shows that will have their premier in the event. Afterwards, we will continue to the cut-down phase in the allstyles and breaking competitions (1-1) that will happen in parallel.

18:00 – Break dance and allstyles competition in the production of ‘takiri – the breaking center’ under the direction of Eshed Avraham.

Untamed project, in the direction of Hagar Weizman
 

Hagar Weizman (aka AGA) is a dancer and DJ specialized in hip hop and house styles. Winner, finalist and judge in various battles. She is the founder of the “untamed” platform, and works for the promotion of street dancers in Israel. 

 

The project was founded in 2019 with the aim to facilitate creation and stage for street dancers, while remaining “untamed”. Throughout the years, around 20 different street dancers took part in the platform – received artistic guidance for their processes, group work and mentoring for building a piece. The dancers in the project find the way to create and explore movement, fit in the dance world but remain connected to street culture. As part of the current project, Untamed will be hosted in Kelim center for a short residency of one month, in which the artists will build a new solo piece and present it in Kelim Festival.
