SPECIAL EVENTS
As part of Kelim festival this year, the artists of Call to Action program will present expositions of their learning and creation processes which were created as part of or influenced by the program. They will discuss their artistic practices which involve people from the different communities and open a path to new, more inclusive and preconceptions-breaking thinking in the dance field. These meetings will be interlaced in the festival alongside the premiers of the artists in residence and the students of the bi-annual program for choreography, out of an organic vision connecting between the various communities who work, create and study in Kelim.
Call to Action has operated in Kelim center since 2022, and since 2023 under the direction of Nataly Zuckerman and in cooperation between Kelim center for choreography and the Peis foundation.
In this year’s Kelim festival, a part of the students’ body offers responses – small and intimate interventions – as a continuation of the annual study program. These are actions which are based on self-locating as individuals in a larger system, and which fold questions on reciprocity, solidarity and continuity.

A kind of conference or rather a gathering for a performative experiment in maternal-
artistic knowledge. This is an invitation to a flexible and inclusive space, to which everyone is invited: people, mothers, fathers, children, infants and babies. Together we will play, eat, talk, listen, try to challenge the rules of the game, the format and the gaze.

This is the third year in which we hold, as part of Kelim festival, a national Hip hop event which includes all styles competition, breaking competition, a residence for hip hop artists and performances. We will start the event with a show of the project “untamed” with a special cast and solo shows that will have their premier in the event. Afterwards, we will continue to the cut-down phase in the allstyles and breaking competitions (1-1) that will happen in parallel.

18:00 – Break dance and allstyles competition in the production of ‘takiri – the breaking center’ under the direction of Eshed Avraham.
